If you planned to reach or leave Pag with a simple road-plus-ferry backup today, that logic is broken. On Thursday 2 April, official updates show a combined road and sea disruption across the northern Dalmatia approach zone.
According to HAK (last update 08:39), traffic is suspended on the A1 Sveti Rok-Posedarje section, DC54 Maslenica-Zaton Obrovacki, and at Pag Bridge (DC106). At the same time, Jadrolinija's interrupted lines notice confirms that the ferry line 335 Prizna-Zigljen does not operate, plus additional cancellations in the Zadar district.
Before you go: today is not a check-once day. Recheck HAK and Jadrolinija shortly before each leg, because a route that was impossible at breakfast may reopen later, and the opposite can also happen.
Route / link | Official status (2 April morning) | Action for travelers |
|---|---|---|
Pag Bridge (DC106) | HAK: traffic suspended due to very strong wind. | Do not route via the bridge until HAK shows reopening. |
Ferry 335 Prizna-Zigljen | Jadrolinija: does not operate. | Do not assume sea backup to Pag is available at departure time. |
A1 Sveti Rok-Posedarje | HAK: traffic suspended for all vehicles. | Rebuild inland approach timing using live detour guidance only. |
Ferry 401 Zadar (Gazenica)-Ist-Olib-Silba-Premuda | Jadrolinija: cancelled. | Island day plans from Zadar need full rescheduling. |
Ship line 409 Zadar-Preko | Jadrolinija: not operating until further notice. | If your itinerary depends on Ugljan transfers, recheck alternatives immediately. |
What makes this update stronger than a routine wind alert
This is not only about driving slower. It is a multi-link failure affecting both mainland road access and maritime fallback options. For Pag travelers specifically, the practical risk is obvious: if both bridge and key ferry option are down at the same time, your day can collapse unless you delay movement or redesign the plan early.
DHMZ's marine bulletin from Split supports why this is happening: gusts locally 35-75 knots, below Velebit up to 95 knots. That is exactly the wind profile that repeatedly hits exposed links in this corridor.

If you are already in Zadar or heading there today
Do not treat this only as a Pag issue. Jadrolinija also reports interruptions on lines 401, 9403 and 409 in the Zadar district. That affects travelers stitching together island stays from Zadar and passengers with same-day onward bookings.
If your longer route still depends on Split-side road entry later, keep a second eye on our latest context piece about timing-sensitive island planning from Split and recheck your transport assumptions before committing.
