Yes. Korčula Town has a miniature walled old town often compared to a smaller Dubrovnik, surrounded by water on three sides. The island also produces excellent white wine (Pošip and Grk varieties), offers quiet coves for swimming, and claims to be Marco Polo's birthplace.
Catamarans from Split reach Korčula Town in about 2.5 hours. From Dubrovnik, the journey takes roughly 2 hours by catamaran. There's also a car ferry from Orebić on the Pelješac Peninsula to Dominče (15 minutes), making it possible to drive onto the island via the new Pelješac Bridge.
