If you are moving around North Dalmatia by ferry this weekend, there are two separate Jadrolinija timetable changes worth checking before you leave for the port. One affects the Biograd-Tkon line 432 from 29 May onward in the low season. The other affects the Preko-Ošljak-Zadar/Gaženica line 431 on Sundays 31 May and 7 June.
Neither notice is dramatic, but both are exactly the kind of timing detail that can break a same-day island plan, an apartment check-in chain or an early return to the mainland if you rely on an old screenshot instead of the live operator page.
Before you go: reopen Jadrolinija's passenger notices and, if you still need times or tickets, use the official search and buy a ticket page rather than a cached timetable.
What changes on the Preko line this Sunday
In its notice published on 29 May, Jadrolinija says that on Sunday 31 May and again on Sunday 7 June, line 431 will run all sailings except the earliest pair of departures. That means there is no 05:00 departure from Zadar/Gaženica and no 05:30 departure from Preko on those two Sundays.
For most casual day-trippers this is not a midday disruption. For early airport-area transfers, Sunday work commutes, first-wave island errands or travelers trying to land on Ugljan ahead of a longer car day, it matters much more. If your plan depended on being on the island before breakfast, this is the part to fix now.
What changed on Biograd-Tkon from 29 May
Jadrolinija also says that on line 432 in the low season, line VIII now departs earlier. The departure from Tkon moves to 16:20 instead of 16:40, and the departure from Biograd moves to 16:45 instead of 17:00.
That is only a 20-minute shift from Tkon and a 15-minute shift from Biograd, but short ferry hops are exactly where travelers get caught out. If you are timing a late lunch, a supermarket stop, a bus arrival into Biograd or the drive onward across Pašman, small changes like this matter more than they look on paper.
Route | Official change | Who should recheck |
|---|---|---|
Line 431 Preko-Ošljak-Zadar/Gaženica | No 05:00 departure from Zadar/Gaženica and no 05:30 departure from Preko on Sundays 31 May and 7 June | Early island transfers, Sunday workers, first-ferry planners, anyone needing the island before morning |
Line 432 Biograd-Tkon | From 29 May in low season, line VIII leaves Tkon at 16:20 instead of 16:40 and Biograd at 16:45 instead of 17:00 | Late-afternoon return trips, Pašman day-trippers, drivers connecting with buses or onward road plans |
Who should take this most seriously
The line 431 Sunday change matters most if you are using Preko as a practical movement route rather than as a relaxed island excursion. The line 432 shift matters most if you are building your day tightly around the last part of the afternoon. In both cases, the risk is not that the route disappears. The risk is that you travel on memory, arrive a few minutes wrong and turn a simple crossing into a bigger delay than it deserved.
If you are planning a broader North Dalmatia stay around Zadar, our Zadar or Šibenik base guide is the bigger planning read. This update is narrower: it is about two operator-confirmed timetable adjustments that matter precisely because they are easy to miss.
