Best timing
Late spring and early autumn are the best balance of weather, atmosphere, and manageable crowd levels.
Getting there
Zadar works well as a northern Dalmatia entry point by road or air, with ferries and drives linking islands and parks.
Yes. Zadar offers a compact old town on a peninsula, the Sea Organ and Sun Salutation installations, excellent sunsets, and easy access to Kornati Islands and Krka National Park. It's less crowded and less expensive than Split or Dubrovnik while delivering a strong first impression of Dalmatia.
Two full days are enough to cover the old town, waterfront, and one day trip (Krka or Kornati). Three days allow a more relaxed pace with time for beaches, a second excursion, and unhurried evening walks along the Riva.
